Agreement
Using Rhumb means agreeing to these terms. If you acquired the app through the App Store, Apple's standard End User License Agreement also applies, and these terms supplement it.
The service
Rhumb displays sea charts from third-party map data and provides navigation aids: instruments, dividers, markers, and auto-routing.
Rhumb Premium
Rhumb Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or annually, with a one-week free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Prices may vary by region and may change with notice.
Navigation disclaimer
Rhumb is an aid for recreational passage planning. It is NOT a substitute for official nautical charts, official publications, up-to-date Notices to Mariners, or safe navigation practice. Map data comes from community and third-party sources (OpenStreetMap, CARTO, OpenSeaMap) and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Auto-routing avoids land as mapped; it does not account for depths, tides, currents, weather, traffic schemes, or local regulations. Routes are suggestions and must be verified against official charts before use. You remain solely responsible for the safety of your vessel and crew. Do not rely on Rhumb as your primary means of navigation.
Acceptable use
You agree not to abuse the routing API, reverse engineer the app, or resell the app or its content.
Intellectual property
The app and its content, excluding third-party map data (which carries its own licences), belong to Yes Please Boats.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yes Please Boats is not liable for damages arising from its use, including navigational decisions made with it.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
